uncomplicated and birthing

there’s many ways to say

it’s the blue sky i see now, instead of the clouds.

i raged for many years

in many forests

before i remembered what to hunt

i waited for many moons and waited for

the truth as one awaits ones betrayer at the final gate

and then

suddenly. what i once wanted i wanted it no more

and even the years of testing, terror and agony

helped me to make the medicine.

even the lie that raped my earth for those years

became nothing more than, a ghost, a reminder of and compassion for

others stuck amidst

the thorns

it has a way of changing you.

making even what is hard, soft,

and changes one's gaze to be as ancient as that, the ancient

star of heaven

the sun behind the sun

sings again as earth

restores

itself, uncomplicated

and birthing.
